A Visit to A Monogram Shop - The North Shore Moms

Laura-Shop-Local-Monogram-Shop

I’m really excited to introduce this series. For the next few weeks, leading up to Christmas, I’ll be visiting one local business a week and giving you an inside look at their best holiday gifts or services. I’m kicking things off with A Monogram Shop in Hamilton.

Address: 56 Railroad Avenue, Hamilton, MA
Owner: Angela Arvanites (Learn more about Angela in this Meet a Mom Interview I did with her last year.)

This visit was a special treat. Angela let me into the store before it opened, so I could pick out all my favorite things to photograph and share with you here. I was a kid in a candy store! Keep reading to see all the great gift ideas I found.

Gifts for Moms, Sisters, Daughters & Friends

A Monogram Shop is known for their monogrammed merchandise, but the store has so much more to offer! Like Oliver Thomas bags (Tennis Backpack shown here), which are cute, machine washable and so versatile. I spotted backpacks, totes and weekenders in stock…I especially love the metallic colors. There is also a nice selection of clothing like these t-shirts, sweatshirts, and MerSea sweaters, along with fun jewelry and accessories.

Gifts for Babies

A Monogram Shop has a great selection of stuffed animals that can be paired with a matching book, onesie or burp cloth. I personally love the idea of pairing a monogrammed pouch (for the diaper or overnight bag) with one of these sweet toys. My son has a little toiletry pouch purchased here a while back with a dinosaur on the front that we use to pack his toothbrush and toothpaste when we travel.

Stocking Stuffers & Teacher Gifts

I’m hoping that one of these slim can coolers from Swig makes it into my stocking this year. Love this pink color, but the store was fully stocked with Swig tumblers, water bottles, insulated wine glasses and more in a variety of colors. The little, suede Vitamin Sea and Kind pouches (pictured) would make a cute gift with a gift card or cash stuffed inside. And these Teachers and Nurses pens are good for a laugh, for professionals that could surely use one right now.

Local Favorites

I was excited to see Green Barn Studio ornaments and prints in stock. Hillary is a local artist and I love the way she captures North Shore (and New England) landmarks in the prettiest pastel colors. I have her Prout’s Neck, Maine and White Flowers on Stripes prints hanging in my home.

Clutch Towels is another local favorite and this is the largest selection of their Beach and Travel Towels I have seen in person. These slim, foldable (yet still absorbent) towels are perfect for packing in your suitcase or beach bag, plus they’re made from 50% recycled water bottles. Their Blanket Wraps were new to me and I can happily report they’re super soft!
