Where are you from originally and what town do you live in now?
I am originally from Everett, MA and now I call Marblehead, MA home.
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have one wonderful son, Jack, who is 5 years old.

What’s your favorite family activity on the North Shore?
We love spending time at Chandler Hovey Park/Lighthouse and Preston Beach in Swampscott—it’s our favorite way to slow down and reset. Jack could climb the big rocks at the lighthouse and jump over the waves at Preston for hours if we let him!
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop on the North Shore?
I love supporting local businesses in Marblehead. My favorites include Maria’s Gourmet for giant muffins and empanadas and Farine Bakery for the BEST sourdough baguette.

Tell us a little bit about your background and how you came to start Essex Pediatric Neuropsychology (EPN).
I’ve always been fascinated by how children’s brains grow and change, and pediatric neuropsychology felt like the perfect blend of my passion for child development and understanding the mind. As a mom first, I truly appreciate the ups and downs of parenting—the wonder, the worry, and the responsibility—and this perspective guides my work every day.
After years of training and working in clinical settings, I saw a need for compassionate, family-centered care in our community. That’s what inspired me to start Essex Pediatric Neuropsychology (EPN), a place where families feel understood and supported, and where every child’s unique strengths are celebrated. My approach is rooted in both science and heart, and I’m grateful to walk alongside families as they navigate their own paths.
A big part of our work at EPN is guiding parents and caregivers through the evaluation process so they feel informed and supported every step of the way. When you receive your child’s report, we don’t just hand it to you, we review the findings together, answer your questions, show you how to use the report to advocate for your child, and provide specific resources and referrals. We help you work with your child’s school and navigate the mental health and/or medical system, so you can feel confident in every part of your child’s care. Our goal at EPN is to empower families and help every child thrive – at school, at home, and beyond.

Any tips for balancing work & motherhood?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to let go of the idea of perfect “balance.” Instead, I’ve come to accept that there will be times when my energy and focus shift more toward work, and other times when motherhood takes the lead. It’s a constant ebb and flow, and it’s hard but okay. Giving myself permission to be flexible and not expecting every day to look the same. This has made a huge difference.
What is the best piece of mom advice you ever received?
Let go of perfection (no matter what Instagram says!) and put yourself first sometimes—and don’t feel guilty about it. You don’t have to do it all, and you’re not failing if you let the laundry pile up or say, “no,” to extra commitments. The supermom myth is exhausting and overrated. Prioritize what matters most to you and let the rest go, even if it means disappointing a few expectations along the way. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish; it actually makes everything else a little easier. Your sanity and your kids will thank you for it.
Also, create your own village—groups like this are essential! Surround yourself with trusted people you can text for support, vent to without judgment, share coffee/wine with, and swap childcare help. Because let’s be honest: sometimes it takes a group chat and a little laughter to survive parenthood!
What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some “me” time?
Recently, diving into a fun read, a thriller or YA novel, has become my little treat. I look forward to it whenever I can steal a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle. And when I actually have a whole day to myself, it’s a SPA day, all the way!
