Eighteen years ago two local moms, Christiane Bourque and Jayne Patrikas decided to combine their expertise–Christiane knew the spa experience and Jayne had a business background–and started a business. Christiane and Jayne were friends who had met when their sons were in preschool at Early Discoveries in Danvers. Those boys are now 31 years old!

The business is Maison Esthetique Christiane Bourque Spa and to this day it continues to be the premier spa destination on the North Shore. It’s also grown into a family business with Christiane’s daughter, Melissa, and daughter-in-law, Kim (both also local moms) now working at the spa too!

Maison Esthetique is the only spa in the area that offers a full range of amenities including private locker room, hot tub, steam room and sauna. This place is so serene…you could easily spend a whole day here.
When you enter the spa you’re greeted warmly at the front desk and can relax in the lounge, in front of the fireplace. On the day I visited it was gray and raining outside and the cozy fireplace was a welcome treat.
Even though Maison Esthetique has been around for 18 years, they are certainly not lacking in state-of-the-art facials, body treatments or massage. They also have an in-house nail salon. I have been to the spa as a customer several times for their deep tissue massages and always had a wonderful experience. They also recently upgraded their sauna to include an award-winning Himalayan salt wall that really takes the relaxation up a notch!

The Cloud 9 package is a half-day package that includes a Therapeutic Massage, Ultimate Hydration Facial and Champagne and Rose Salt Scrub for $325.
