A Visit to REV Burger - The North Shore Moms

If you’re looking for a local family-friendly restaurant, head to REV Burger, newly opened at 55 Dodge Street (Shaw’s Plaza), in Beverly, MA! REV Burger is the sister restaurant to REV Kitchen & Bar, both owned by local dad of 3, Nick Harron, and led in the kitchen by Culinary Director Brandon Welch.

My son and I recently stopped at REV Burger for lunch during a busy day of back-to-school shopping and loved it.

REV Burger

REV Burger is a quick-service restaurant that offers a great selection of loaded burgers, chopped cheese melts, hot dogs, salads, loaded fries and a kid’s menu that even the pickiest eater will enjoy. (Check out the full menu.)

Each kid’s menu item comes with a juice box and they have a wide selection of soft drinks and tasty milkshakes for dessert. For adults they have a full bar with creative cocktails, beer and wine. I wasn’t drinking during our lunch, but you better believe I will be back soon to try the Espresso Freeze!

Orders are placed on a touch screen menu at the counter (which my son enjoyed taking charge of) and there is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes. You can peek into the kitchen while your order is cooking or take a seat and wait for it to be called.

I ordered the signature REV Burger (sauce on the side) and my son had the Chicken Tender Kids Meal. We also split an order of the Bacon Wiz Waffle Fries and a S’mores Milkshake for dessert.

As a special treat for North Shore Moms, from September 9-15, 2024 buy any burger and get a FREE milkshake with code REVnsMoms1.

The burgers are made from fresh, never frozen, 100% Black Angus Chuck-Brisket and are available in lots of interesting flavor combinations like Truffle In (with Truffle Wiz (cheese) Sauce) or Big Sky (with Sweet Heat Dust, bacon jam and blackberry BBQ sauce).

The Chicken Tender Kids Meal was a winner, but my son didn’t make much of a dent in it once he fell in love with the Bacon Wiz Waffle Fries. Those get two thumbs up from both of us!

While we were there we also got to meet Chef Brandon, who explained how he has been with REV Brands for 11 years, after starting in salad prep at REV Kitchen & Bar and working his way up to first Executive Chef, and then to Culinary Director of REV Brands. Chef Brandon is also currently the Executive Chef at REV Burger.

Chef Brandon emphasized how the team created REV Burger as a place for a high-quality meal, made fresh and fast, and priced fairly. The atmosphere is modern, but more casual than many other sit-down restaurants in the area, so parents don’t have to stress about their kids being a little loud and upsetting other diners.

I would highly recommend REV Burger to other parents and my son said he can’t wait to come back and bring his friends to try all the options for the loaded fries! This restaurant is a great choice for a quick weekday meal before or after sports, or on weekends to meet up with friends. I love that parents can enjoy a drink together while their kids hang out.
