When you were pregnant, did you ever wish you could see an ultrasound of your growing baby without needing to wait until your next ultrasound? Rowley mom of three, Anika Esposito, found herself wishing for that peace of mind during her pregnancies. From that experience she started Love at First Sight 3D/4D Ultrasound Studio. Where are you from originally and what town do you live in now?
I grew up in Beverly and have now moved to Rowley.
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have three children: Aria who is 5, Carmela who is 2 and Dominic who is a year old.
What’s your favorite family activity on the North Shore?
We love exploring all the indoor play spaces!
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop on the North Shore?
We recently moved to Rowley so are enjoying exploring the restaurants in the Newburyport area!
Tell us a little bit about your background and how you came to start Love at First Sight 3D/4D Ultrasound Studio.
My husband and I know all too well the struggles of pregnancy and the heartache of loss. We had two miscarriages before our first and another before our second. When we were pregnant with Aria, we were constantly nervous about losing the pregnancy and were only able to see her by ultrasound twice at the doctors. We really wanted a place to give us some peace of mind throughout the pregnancy. We were able to do a 3D/4D ultrasound in Boston which provided us comfort throughout the remaining months before birth. This drove us to create a place for other expecting families to see their babies more! We love seeing the happiness on each of our clients’ faces and being able to provide them with a service that allows them and families to bond with their bundle of joy before their bid debut!
What types of services do you provide at Love at First Sight?
This is an elective service. Non-medical ultrasounds provide families another opportunity to see their baby throughout their pregnancy!
We also offer:
- Early Gender DNA testing at 6+ weeks
- Early Ultrasound Scans, starting at 8+ weeks
- Gender Ultrasound at 14+ weeks
- Heartbeat Animals with the recording of the babies heartbeat
- 3D/4D Ultrasounds – See what baby will look like
What’s your favorite part about the work you do at Love at First Sight?
Meeting all the expecting families! We love being a part of their journey and we have made SO many friends over the years. They are not just clients to us! It is all family here at LAFS!
How far along do moms-to-be need to be in their pregnancy before they can come in for an appointment?
Moms need to be 6+ weeks for Early Gender DNA testing and 8+ weeks for ultrasound. On the other end of pregnancy, we’ve gotten 3D/4D images all the way to 41 weeks!
Where is Love at First Sight located?
We are located in Danvers, MA and are opening our second location in Amesbury, MA, in October.
When do you anticipate your new location will be open and accepting appointments?
Mid-October
Any tips for balancing work & motherhood?
No! Kidding 🙂 It is not easy, yet so rewarding. Everything I do is for my family. Let go of the mom guilt, we are all judged too hard. It is ok to work as a women and enjoy doing so. Providing for your family as a women is just as important as a man! When with your family, be sure to do memorable things, use your precious time wisely! Kids are only young once!
What is the best piece of mom advice you ever received?
Do what works for you and your family. There are too many ‘ways’ to do things that when you don’t do it that way, you feel as if you are doing something ‘wrong’. So far from true! Your family is not every other family, do what works for you!
What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some “me” time?
I love getting a nice blow dry, who has time do this themselves nowadays!?!
