The North Shore Moms is proud to partner with Big Sister Boston in support of Little Sister Glam Week. I am also grateful to four amazing women in my network, Kristen Bonito of The Mom Comm in Salisbury, MA; Sabrina Auclair of Unpacked Living, with stores in Danvers and Beverly, MA; and Cindy Solomon & Stephanie Keohan of A Mom’s Village in West Peabody. These women have graciously offered their businesses to serve as collection sites North of Boston for the “like new” dresses, jumpsuits, gowns, or pantsuits that Big Sister Boston is collecting for their Little Sisters to wear to school dances, quinceñeras, weddings, and other formal occasions.
Here’s how you can help! Head to your closets to collect “like new” formalwear that you aren’t using any longer. Think bridesmaid dresses, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits and more! All pieces must be clean and in good condition, but do not need to have been dry cleaned. Big Sister Boston is looking for formalwear in all sizes and styles as long as it’s in good condition.
Bring your donations to one of these four locations:
- The Mom Comm at 4 Elm Street, Salisbury, MA (in Salisbury Square, next to Circle Insurance) anytime the studio is open for classes from now until March 20, 2023. Find their class schedule here for hours. The Mom Comm is a boutique studio offering fitness classes for adults and kids, enrichment classes for kids, community events, and parenting support for families.
- Unpacked Living Beverly, at 156 Cabot Street, or Unpacked Living Danvers, at 66 Maple Street, during store hours (10am-6pm Tuesdays-Saturdays and 11am-4pm on Sundays) from Tuesday, March 14 through Sunday, March 19, 2023. Unpacked Living is a natural goods store that promotes an earth-friendly, low-waste, and plastic-free lifestyle. I love shopping here for their dish and hand soap refills!
- A Mom’s Village, at 637 Lowell Street in West Peabody, anytime the studio is open for classes from Monday, March 13 through Monday, March 20, 2023. Find their class schedule here for hours. A Mom’s Village is a happy place for the whole family. Whether you’re looking for a community, focused on fitness, just need a break, or are looking to bond with your little one in an engaging music class, you can enjoy a Mommy Clubhouse built for moms just like you.
The Glam Week event will kick off on March 25, 2023 at the Big Sister Boston office, located at 20 Park Plaza in downtown Boston. The event serves their entire Little Sister community, which includes girls living on the North Shore. The Little Sister community is invited to the Big Sister Boston office for a boutique “shopping” extravaganza! Little Sisters will choose from among the collected clothing to take home free items. The week starts with a kick-off event, complete with snacks, music, and plenty of glitz and glam. Little Sisters are also invited to the office throughout the week so everyone has an opportunity to find their perfect fit.
