A Visit to The IV Hub | The North Shore Moms

I have to admit that I don’t hang out in Medford a ton these days but after visiting The IV Hub on Monday, that needs to change! The IV Hub is located inside the Sola Salon Studios at 469 Salem Street, in Medford. (This is in the same plaza as Target and there is ample free parking, which is always a plus when you head closer to Boston.) The Sola Salon Studios is a collection of small studios with nearly every type of self care represented. You can get a hydrating IV while getting your hair blown out, followed by a manicure and pedicure. You can really have yourself a day here!

The IV Hub opened here in October and is owned by Noreen Connolly, a mom of three teenagers from Milton. Noreen grew up in Dorchester and has always loved the area North of Boston, which is why she was drawn to this space in Medford. Prior to opening The IV Hub, Noreen owned a nursing agency and through the agency she saw a demand for people requesting her team to come to their homes to administer IVs of all types. She first launched a mobile studio on the South Shore for a year, and then moved the operation to her cheerful space at Sola Salon Studios.

Currently The IV Hub is open from 2-6 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 10am-2pm on Saturdays. But the hours will be expanding to include mornings soon. When you visit The IV Hub you can choose from a list of IV therapy services including ones that help with nutrition, weight loss, hangover cures, vitamin drips, and rehydration. The most popular drips are the Skinny Drip with Lipo Mino Shot, the Myers Cocktail (good for people with fibromyalgia, colitis or post-bariatric surgery) and the Recovery & Performance therapy (good for post-workout and also great post-COVID). Each person’s results will be different but Noreen mentioned that she could actually see the color returning to some client’s faces after receiving the Recovery & Performance therapy post-COVID.

An appointment takes either 30 or 60 minutes and during that time clients are seated in a comfy chair with a heated blanket, water, snacks, and an eye mask and ear plugs. Or they can catch up on their favorite Bravo show on the in-studio TV! Noreen’s team is made up of highly skilled ER nurses so the treatment is safe and painless.

The IV Hub can also come to your home on the North Shore for a group of 4 or more. Mom’s night out, anyone? Additionally, Noreen is scheduling pop-ups at local salons, gyms and corporate events. If you’re a local business owner interested in working with her, she can be reached at [email protected].
