October is here and fall is in full swing. In this crazy, 2020 world, selecting a pumpkin from a local farm stand is a simple pleasure that can feel like a real treat! Get the kids in on the fun and pick up some cider and donuts too. We’ve rounded up several local places to find pumpkins, whether you want to make an afternoon out of selecting the perfect one or just score a really good deal! Please remember to wear your masks to each store or farm stand and practice social distancing.

Boston Hill Farm: Stop by the store and grab a red wagon to pull out to the field and pick your own pumpkin. Field is open daily in the fall from 9 am to 6 pm. 1370 Turnpike Street, North Andover.

Brooksby Farm: Stop by the Pumpkin Yard to snag a pumpkin of any size, then complete your visit with a treat from the Farm Store or Donut Hut. Open 10 am – 5 pm, closed Mondays. 54 Felton Street, Peabody.

Cider Hill Farm: Grab your farmhouse pumpkins, corn husks, scarecrows and assorted mums to get in the fall spirit. These are available to shop daily, from 8 am to 6 pm, at the Farm Stand. They are also offering an open-air Outdoor Market on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm, near the main parking lot. 45 Fern Avenue, Amesbury.

Costco: If you’re a member you can get a great deal on large pumpkins. These are the cheapest prices I’ve seen! 111 Newbury Street, Danvers.

Connors Farm: Pick you own pumpkin after spending a day at the farm enjoying the cow train, corn maze and apple cannons…just to name a few of the family-friendly attractions. Farm stand is open daily from 9 am – 6 pm. 30 Valley Road, Danvers.

Kane’s Flower World: Kane’s is a regular stop for our family for both mums and pumpkins in the fall. Huge selection of both! Open daily from 8 am – 5 pm. 64 Andover Street, Danvers.

Smolak Farms: Pumpkins and mums are available at the farm stand daily, and the pumpkin patch is open for you to pick your own on weekends from 9 am – 5 pm. 315 South Bradford Street, North Andover.

Tendercrop Farm: Pumpkins, fresh fruit, vegetables, and gorgeous sunflowers can be found at this farm stand. Open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. 93 Main Street, Wenham and 108 High Road, Newbury.

Trader Joe’s: Stock up on mini and heirloom pumpkins here along with many pumpkin flavored goodies. I’m recommending the Pumpkin Spice Coffee and Pumpkin Jo-Jos this year! Open daily from 9 am to 9 pm, with 8-9 am dedicated to shopping for seniors and customers with disabilities only. 300 Andover Street, Peabody.
