If the educational plan for your preschooler didn’t come together as expected this year, we’ve got a new option for you! Today we’re sharing information about a brand new preschool, located in Marblehead, named Pleasant Street Preschool.

Pleasant Street Preschool is still enrolling students for the 2020-2021 school year. This school is a small, thoughtfully designed, one-classroom program. It features a monthly, theme-based curriculum, with a focus on art and theatrical play. There is also an additional large indoor playroom for rainy days.

Children ages 2.9 to 5 years old can enroll and the classroom is limited in size to 13 students per day, with 2 teachers. The single classroom is arranged into five learning centers, with specific areas for art, math and science, blocks, dramatic play and books. Each center has a sign with a designated amount of spots for children to play. This not only helps self regulate the classroom, it also encourages social distancing during COVID.

The curriculum of Pleasant Street Preschool is designed for children to learn and grow together as they prepare for Kindergarten. And since the program is being kept purposely small, the staff is confident about being able to maintain a clean and safe environment for the children in their care.
