Drag Queen Story Hour

Join us for a fun-filled hour of stories, songs, and activities led by Patty Bouree from the Boston Chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour, sponsored by the Trustees of the Library. DQSH  is just what it sounds  like – drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores, capturing the imagination, play, and gender fluidity of childhood. Kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, and where dress up is real. All ages are welcome for this free drop-in event which will take place at Lincoln Hall (parking is available in the gravel lot on Washington Street.)
