Befriend the Barnyard

Come play with Angora rabbits Violet and Vanilla, Nubian goats Merlin, Maeve, Morgana, and Mordred, and our friendly flock of heritage chickens!
Befriend the Barnyard is a hands-on barnyard experience that lets you and your family approach our barnyard buddies under the guidance of a professional farm-based educator. Join us for a new activity every half hour. Activities might include:
- Petting the Angora rabbits and carding wool
- Collecting eggs from the chicken coop
- Brushing the goats in their pasture
As part of Befriend the Barnyard, you can make and take home a different farm-themed craft every weekend.
This program is best suited for families with young children. Be sure to wear sneakers or other closed-toe shoes when you join us in the barnyard!
Please note: You must purchase a ticket to participate in this event intended to engage children and families. You are welcome to explore the Carriage Barn and view the animals from outside of their pens anytime during Carriage Barn Open Hours (noon-6pm on weekends and noon-2pm on weekdays).
